The Virginia Housing Coalition’s Third Annual Housing Credit Conference was a huge success. With over 300 attendees and a packed agenda, there were many exciting opportunities for professional development and networking.
Registration is now open for the Virginia Housing Coalition’s Third Annual Housing Credit Conference! The conference will be held October 8-9, 2015 at the Westin Hotel in Richmond. The conference will give tax credit professionals of all experience levels the information and training they need to create stronger proposals and more sustainable projects.
Earlier this year, The Virginia Housing Coalition announced the creation of a new program to help aspiring housing and community development professionals grow their skills and develop their talents.
The case, Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs v. The Inclusive Communities Project, Inc., focuses on the disparate impact portion of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prevents housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Delegate Chris Peace, Chair of the Affordable Housing work group of the Virginia Housing Commission invited VHC to give a presentation to the work group last Wednesday.
