Baby boomers played an important role in the evolution and successes of the affordable housing industry in Virginia for the past 50 years. This generation has now largely retired and the torch has been passed to Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z. But many in that generation want to stay active, learn from our successors, share our experience and continue to make a contribution to the ongoing work of affordable housing providers.
The Affordable Housing Alumni (AHA) group is a collective of retired housing professionals who continue to move affordable housing forward across Virginia. AHA provides a platform for connecting the skills of highly-experienced, retired housing professionals with those who can utilize them, through policy work and advocacy, mentoring, storytelling, education, board participation, consulting and more.
