Capacity building is an important part of VHA’s mission of expanding housing opportunity and ending homelessness in Virginia. VHA offers members a unique combination of knowledge, expertise, and resources to make beneficial impact for low-income Virginians.
The HLI is a 10-month intensive program created and implemented by VHA. It is designed to leverage training, coaching, and peer support to help mid-career housing professionals foster and grow leadership skills and create a career development plan to catalyze their leadership trajectory.
The VHA AmeriCorps VISTA Project strengthens the capacity of member organizations by placing VISTAs in roles that build sustainable systems and expand long-term impact. Through their service, members develop tools and partnerships that advance solutions to homelessness and affordable housing while gaining hands-on experience and professional development that prepare them for careers in the field.
VHA partners with Stewart Title to provide title services throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Every transaction benefits the Virginia Housing Alliance and its mission to promote quality housing that all Virginians can afford – 50% of the profits from the operation of the agency go back to VHA.
