VHA is happy to introduce our June Member Spotlight, the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (LRHA).

The Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority (LRHA) is proud to share the launch of its 2025–2029 Strategic Plan—a bold framework that outlines LRHA’s path to sustainability, innovation, and expanded housing opportunity in the City of Lynchburg. Developed in collaboration with LRHA’s Board of Commissioners, staff, and community partners, the plan lays out five strategic priorities: preservation and development of  affordable housing, communications and advocacy, collaboration and partnerships, long term sustainability, and succession planning.

The plan is already shaping how LRHA approaches redevelopment, invests in staff  leadership, and secures the financial stability necessary to serve more families. With a focus on practical action and inclusive partnerships, the strategy aims to strengthen neighborhoods while advancing housing equity across Lynchburg.
