VHA is excited to welcome another member of our 2025–2026 VISTA cohort, Cassandra Nnaji, who is serving as the Data Analyst VISTA with True Ground Housing Partners in Arlington.
About Cassandra:
Cassandra Nnaji is originally from Falls Church, Virginia, and brings a unique blend of experience in healthcare, fitness, and data analytics to her role as a VISTA Data Analyst with True Ground Housing Partners. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology, and she holds Google’s Data Analytics and Advanced Data Analytics Professional Certifications. Before joining VISTA, Cassandra worked as a medical assistant, body composition analyst, and ran her own online fitness business, where she combined her passion for health, wellness, and community impact.
Cassandra’s interest in serving as a VISTA stems from her desire to use data to help organizations make meaningful, data-driven decisions that improve lives. She looks forward to gaining deeper insights into housing issues while strengthening her skills in program evaluation, data visualization, and stakeholder reporting. Her goal for this VISTA year is to support True Ground Housing Partners in leveraging data to enhance housing stability and services for residents, while also growing as a data professional committed to public service.
Outside of work, Cassandra enjoys exploring new fitness challenges, trying new activities, and traveling. A fun fact about her: she loves adrenaline rushing experiences, she has tried skydiving and has even learned to fly a plane. One day, she hopes to go base jumping and paragliding.
Current VISTA Project:
Cassandra has developed an interactive dashboard designed to strengthen how Resident Services tracks and elevates program impact across multiple properties. Through the use of Tableau and data analysis, she has transformed complex service data into clear visual insights that help staff better understand trends in demographics, financial wellness, health, food distribution, community engagement, and resident outcomes. She is currently leading the rollout of the dashboard by facilitating feedback sessions with Resident Service team members and guiding implementation to ensure it becomes a practical, day to day decision making tool.
In addition to building the dashboard, Cassandra has been analyzing results from the organization’s annual Needs Assessment survey. Her work focuses on identifying key patterns in resident income, health access, financial strain, and overall satisfaction in order to inform strategic planning and improve service delivery. By centralizing and visualizing this information, her goal is to support more data informed decisions that directly benefit residents and align with long term community development goals.
